Level 1 Complex Operations Certification

Altomaxx’s Level 1 Complex Operations course is designed for operators pursuing low-risk BVLOS certification under Canada’s evolving RPAS framework. This program delivers a focused theoretical foundation in BVLOS operations, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, risk management, and real-world operational planning. Built for commercial and industrial pilots, the course prepares participants to safely plan and execute complex missions while meeting and exceeding Transport Canada requirements. This course will:
  • Deliver 20 hours of instructor-led ground school focused on BVLOS theory and application
  • Cover key topics including airspace regulations, risk assessment, C2 links, human factors, and emergency planning
  • Prepare pilots for the Transport Canada Level 1 Complex Operations (Low Risk BVLOS) examination
  • Provide practical knowledge to support BVLOS operational approvals and future scaling
  • Include Level 1 Complex flight review

Advanced Operations Certification

  • Deliver comprehensive ground school aligned with Transport Canada Advanced Operations requirements
  • Cover key topics including airspace classification, weather, navigation, and RPAS regulations

  • Prepare pilots for the Transport Canada Advanced Operations exam
  • Includes Advanced Operation Flight Review
